GPR Scanning

That is where GPR, or Ground penetrating Radar, comes into play. A GPR uses high frequency electromagnetic waves that travel through concrete and reflect back whenever they encounter changes in the material, such as PT cables, and utility lines. Those signals are what tells us what's inside the concrete in a non-destructive method.

Our GPR equipment is top of the line and capable of scanning through walls, columns, slabs, and other structural elements. Our devices are capable of scanning to depths of up to 30 inches, ensuring the detection of objects even beyond the depth of concrete.

Once the scan is complete we carefully transfer the results directly onto the concrete surface using heavy duty markers and tape. This is to ensure a durable and visible layout of where PT cables, conduits, plumbing, and other embedded utilities are, so that we know what's behind the concrete we are drilling or cutting into.
